Jewels, you cannot save anything (pics, docs, etc) on a disc, if you have a CD-R drive on your computer ... CD-R means you have a "Read Only CD ROM Drive" and you can only read the CDs using this drive. You cannot write anything to the CDs using this drive, coz it's not meant to work that way ..... In order to save files onto a disc, you should have a CD-RW (CD Read/Write) drive on your system.
If you have a USB port, try using a pen-drive (also known as USB Drive).

First of all, if you have ever made the CD-R into an audio music CD, this may be impossible, due to the fact that a CD-R can not be reformatted (If this is the case, I suggest you get a USB Flash Drive, which is very easy to put files on, and also has very fast read and write speeds (I even suggest if it isn't the case!)).
In any other case, insert the CD into your computer.
Open My Computer, right-click the D drive (or whatever drive you inserted the CD into), and click "Properties." If the free space is smaller than the size of all the picture files you want to save, delete files off the CD to make more space (or just decide not to put some of the pictures on the CD). Double-click the D drive (or whatever drive you inserted the CD into). Drag the pictures from wherever they are now to the CD drive window (they will be copied automatically, not deleted from the original folder). Go back to My Computer, right-click your CD drive, and click "Write these files to CD". This should do the trick (if not, click the link in the source).
P.S. If you have a Mac, I am clueless, because I own a PC.

k. CD-R
Would've been much more certain if it was a CD-RW, because i have one, but still, cant be picky.
I think you'll probably need to find an equivalent of nero, unless you already have it, in which you whould have quite a good one.
I did this with 7, but it might work on six. Basically, go into nero burning rom and it should open a blank compilation. Drag the picture files into the files for cd section (should be the middle) or make a picture folder. Basically, drag the files in, then click on burn and put a CD-R in the drive. Click burn and MAKE SURE THAT FINALIZE ISNT SELECTED. Then click on the multisession tab (only if you have 7) and then click on Start multisession or summin. That'll make sure you can continue writing, probably.
This definitely works on nero 7 and 8. you should probably get all of this on a trial version. All i could say is google something which makes compilations for cd's

ok rule #1 - NEVER delete your memory card until you see the picture - not just the file name
(sorry cannot display your picture)
are you using the correct disc ?? a + will not work in a - situation/recorder (and vice versa)
is it a new disc- cannot reuse them unless you have a re-writeable hardware - and it's a rewriteable disc
do you have a writable data player - or is it "read only"???
even though you have a writeable program - it may be your hardware that is an issue
all the best
