I am looking to start snowboarding this season. I am 6' 170 lbs. I am looking for a freeride board. What size or type of board should i get? Thanks alot.

do i need to worry about the stance setup, flex,or any other technicality?

Try this snowboard size calculator which will also give you some suggestions about what boards might be best for you:

For your size, I would say 160cm board. But make sure that it is wide enough for your foot size if you have size 11 or bigger.

Somewhere between 158 and 161. If your feet are larger you'll want to get a wide board so your toes don't hang over the edge. Stiffer boards will blast through a lot of stuff, but the downside is they aren't very forgiving and can really bounce you around a bit.

Nitro is my personal favorite brand. They do tend to be stiff boards, but good quality and stable at speed. Check out their site, they have a size chart for each of their models.
