I'm totally serious here....if my 16 year old gave me this list I would give her cash. For one thing, I wouldn't even want to read this. 21 things and IT CONTINUES! She is a greedy little girl! Some things are extravagant and others are not...but still. This is ridiculous. My 3 and 9 year olds want less. She needs to learn what Christmas is really all about. Take her out shopping and give her a limit. Maybe suggest she pick out a nice present for a needy less fortunate girl this Christmas.

She sounds like a sweet girl. I would pick one from the "biggies", which as I see them are:
the laptop
digital camera
drum set
If I could swing it budget-wise, I might get the laptop because it has a practical use for schoolwork. If I got that, I would just get a few of the little items to round things out and maybe give the rest of the ideas to grandmas & aunts if they ask or keep it in mind for next birthday.
If the laptop is too much, then go with the camera & more of the other smaller items. Drum set would be my personal last choice strictly because of the noise factor--I bet she would be happy with the keyboard stand and going in that direction instead!
I would use some of the small items such as hairbrush, sticky-notes, play-dough, yo-yo, etc. as "stocking stuffers".
Surprised that wheels wasn't on the list if she is 16! Does she already have a car?

Well what is she into. Do you guys really need the computer?
If I could afford the computer I would get it only if she really needed it. If she is asking for christian stuff then I assume she has her mind in the right place so having her own computer wouldn't be a danger. Also think about the long run she can use it for college or you can give her one when she graduates high school.
For me I would put the following as a stocking stuffers:
2, 5,6, 12, 14, should be under 30.
Then choose one big ticket item, like the stereo.
I would get her the stand as well for her keyboard, then she may play more often and not worry about the drums. The dumbells and the toning as well.
Your lucky she cares to workout.

I believe that Christmas is more about giving then getting, why not let her choose something that she really wants, and give to someone that may not get anything. On the other hand, you can get Digital cameras good ones at good cost now a days, and you can pick up computers on sale for a far better price. Looks like she already has a lot in her life. Spend what you can afford and buy what you know she really needs or wants and will take care of. Happy Shopping. P.S. As a last thought I thought I should mention that her being 16 be glad a car is not on that list.

I would buy either the digicam or the camera whichever I thought she would use most and a fair selection of the cheaper bits. Unless money was no object I would not buy the laptop as I think it is extravagantly expensive (although I know people who spend that sort of money) and you already have a computer. Christmas should be about giving and receiving with love and graciousness rather than the amount of money spent.
I personally never spent a lot on my children and my daughter came to me when she was 20 and I said she didn't know any other family who spent as little and had so much fun. Christmas was more about being together playing games togethr having our favourite food, having friends and family in
and choosing gifts for the personal touch rather than being ostentatious. The children made the paperchains and tree decs and we made table pieces out of pine cones.
Now they are grown up in happy stable relationships they can buy all the expensive equipment they want.

The laptop is out of my budget range. I'd go for the digital camera as the main present (with batteries, extra memory card, and a case), then put lots of the little, fun stuff into a stocking (do you still do a stocking for her?).
Definitely get her some of the toys! Even grown-ups need a yo-yo and play-doh--it keeps us sane, young, and enjoying life.
If she really wants the computer or the Wii, suggest that she save up half the money herself, because both of those are pretty expensive, and the Wii will only keep costing you money, as she needs more games to play. Or make the Wii a family present, if it's something everyone in the family would play with.

I'd buy either 8, the laptop, or 17, a nice digital camera. Some of the things on that list (bubbles, yoyos, babysitter's handbook) sound like they'd go with a 13 year old, not a 16 year old.

Wow!
If she needs a new computer, MacBooks are great. But because it's so expensive, I would make that the only gift.
Wiis are insanly hard to find...so nix that unless you want to drive yourself crazy.
Some of the stuff would be great stocking stuffers: Play-Doh, yo-yo, notepad, hairbrush, miniDV tapes, earbuds, bubbles, etc.
I like the idea of "theme" gifts. It seems like she has a lot of sports/exercise stuff on her list. That would be cool to get her just that stuff.
The one thing I would say that she would probably like the best and get the most use out of (besides the computer) is the digital camera. They come in a lot of cute colors now, and 16-year-old girls love taking pictures of their friends!
Hope this helps!

Definitely get her the cd's (I use bmgmusic.com) and the bible she wants (check amazon), plus the ear buds (get some in her favorite color from Staples...under 10). Put the bubbles, play do and light in her stocking. If you can afford it, (she sounds like a really nice gal btw), go ahead and have "Santa" bring her the dumbells and alarm clock radio she wants (I got a real nice one for my daughter from Rite Aid for 23 dollars).
All of the stuff on her list looks reasonable and normal for a Christian teen. I would definitely encourage her spirit with the drum set (check the local pawn shops) if you can afford it.
and you can get a real nice brush for her from the 99 cent store or target...

I would be okay with getting a lot of the smaller things (some don't seem very expensive, like the books, hairbrush, light, CDs, etc.) except I would get her only one of the expensive items (pick either the laptop OR the digicam OR the Wii -- if it were me I'd go for the digicam)
Anyway I don't know... merry christmas

The first thing I would purchase is the camera. A picture is worth a 1000 words. Then I would get her the exercise equipment, since it appears she wants to be healthy, i think encouraging it is awesome. The last thing I would get is the bean bag chair, for just a little section of the world that is all hers.
