We The People Party. It would concentrate on The Constitution. It would not legislate morality. it would concentrate on equal and fair education for all who seek it. It's welfare program would only be available for 2 yrs. In that 2 yrs it would assist in giving the person or family a hand up. It would not jail drug users but put them in readily available rehab centers. Real rehab centers. Not this phony crap they have going. It would concentrate on diplomacy. Security for our country would be foremost. It would stay on top of maintenance of our infrastructure. Implement better public transportation. Bring our airlines up to speed. This is just a thumbnail sketch of it. I am about helping those who help themselves. That carries global thought also. I would have little patience for dictators or any country that tries to keep it's people in serfdom. And oh so much more. Health would be about prevention and I would tax the crap out of fast food and soda companies. That corn syrup will kill ya people! Cigarettes wouldn't exist. Marijuana would though. No tolerance for the hard drugs and pity the poor soul that targets children. No mercy for them or child molesters. Rapists and murderers. Prison would be a work to be fed situation. True reform would be practiced along side punishment. See what you have done with this question!

I actually agree with both Redrum and Neo Pirate on this one. Combine those two things and make it answerable to the people, outlaw lobbyists and special interests money of every kind, remove campaign contributions over 100 dollars per private US Citizens and none at all from any other entitiy and we can start something good.

Progressive Party.

It would be along the lines of many of the liberal parties of leading industrialized nations, which have a focus on liberty, freedom, environmental issues, social good, socialized medicine, progressive tax system, progressive foreign and domestic policies, civil rights, consumer rights, religion out of the government, transparency, curbing influence of lobbyists, ending career politicians, getting government out of our lives while increasing the well-being of average citizens.

Always progressing towards "a more perfect union."

it would be called the anti-party, and it would consist of people from all different parties and people who aren't from parties at all. we wouldn't have any qualities that you would normally tack to a particular party (i.e. "oooh those hippie dems!" or "goshdarn tight-wad republicans!"). anyone who wanted to have their voice heard could do so.

why? because politics in this country right now is a double-edged sword. no matter how you slice it, we're all getting hurt.
