I live in a basement apartment, which has very bad spider problems. I had my mattress stored in storage for quite some time and I noticed my daughter and I soon after becoming very itchy. So I got rid of the mattress cause I figured it may have been bed bugs...we're still very itchy..so heres what I think: it's either bed bugs (left over bed bug eggs), spiders, or the floor problem (humidity)..my pergo floor was completely soaked from a flood I had in the bathroom...what can this be???

Maybe mold under the Pergo floor. I had a friend just rip her's up and replace it with tile because of the mold under her Pergo. She too had a water leak.

As for the spiders, use the vacuum daily paying special attention to floor boards. What to spiders eat? Smaller insects including their eggs. Try springling borax powder under baseboards, under the refrigerator, etc to reduce other insects as well as the spiders (yeah, I just told you to vacuum daily.......use the borax if you aren't going to vacuum along the baseboards
