I trying to remember the name of of a series that aired a few years ago on the History or Discovery channel which discussed how various weapons were really used as opposed to how films and most people might think they were used. I remember an episode where they showed how swashbuckling movies depicted sword fights and how they really were fought.

I must add that the show I'm talking about is not currently on the air. I think it was a half hour show 2 or 3 years back. I remember a sword show and I think there was another where they showed how a Viking berserker worked.

I'm not sure. My guess is "Modern Marvels," which is on all the time.

I seldom watch the History Channel anymore because it's becoming more about technology and other crap than actual history.

That's why I like watching History International. Unfortunately, you have to have Cox, Time Warner, or some other digital cable program thingy to get it.

EDIT: Thanks to the person above me....I think Mail Call is still on the History Channel. It's one of the few shows worth watching. It's hosted by R. Lee Ermey from "Full Metal Jacket."

I have more recently since I'm laid up with an injury. I love TLC and Discovery. Last week, on TLC, I learned how Crayons are made and on the Discovery channel there was a show that showed how different animals mated. That was pretty interesting. Hey, there's nothing wrong with a little Kangaroo porn, is there?
