im ready to get my first car but i don't know what to get my parents say i shouldn't get a brand new one... i wouldn't mind a classic car

16....1986 mazda 626. Don't get a new car, you need time to get experience. I got in 2 wrecks the first month i had my car.

16, I had a 1992 ford taurus (this was around 2003). It was an awful car, it barely ran.
I wouldn't get a brand new car. A lot of people I know ended up getting in accidents with their first cars. And what teen has the money to buy a brand new car anyway?

16 my parents bought me a little Honda (it was crap dont get one)
But the first Car i bought on my own was a 02' Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 Extended Cab!
Holy Crap I had fun in that truck (still do) I would take it off road all the time and I have been in 2 accident (not my fault) and that truck took hardly any damage. It is very strong and powerful (only 18 mpg) but I wouldnt trade it for a little car! (expecially with all the bad drivers on the road something big is alot safer)

Age 16, (year 1981) and I got a 1970 Plymouth Duster 340, Harley 4 barrel, with duel exhaust..and only paid around $1000 for it....thought my folks were gonna have a heart attack when I brought that car home..Kept it for about 4 years...I loved that car. Now I own a 2007 Mustang GT.

15- It was a 74' Nova (thank God) because I ended up running it under a semi. If it had of been a newer car made of plastic like they are now I wouldn't have made it. Ask for a older car, and tell your parents "because they are made more solid and you would be safer. "

i was 18 and my sister and i pooled our money to buy the neighbor's 94 ford taurus with 350,000 miles on it. the thing was literally held together with duct tape by the time we were done with it. we had to keep a brick in the backseat to prop the tires when we parked it because it wouldn't go into park anymore. it finally died when the entire exhaust system fell out while my sister was driving home from work. GOD that car was awesome!
