before you children go off about the fantasies you overhear in your liberal textbooks. The US today is a far greater place than the USSR in it's best days, and indeed today also. But,you don't remember the Soviet Union,so in your limited mind,it never existed. You only THINK you have it bad junior. In reality, the lowest life in Russia, which again has Soviet Union aspirations, would gladly trade places with your momma's basement, uber cool persona, absolutely no knowledge of anything other than what's "hot"that week.Your very question betrays the type person you are to a grown person.A fool, worse,a fool that feels they have a significant point to make, when in reality, they don't know enough about the subject to speak of it

1). The state controlled the media in the USSR, not corporations.

2).How can a vice-president be a dictator? He has no power.

3).Can you give ONE example of the American military being hostile to any percentage of the population?

4).The USSR had reditions? I don't think so.

5).The 9/11 terrorists were "manufactured"? The same must go for the bombings of Khobar Towers, the American embassies in Nairobi and Dar es Salem, and the USS Cole.

6).Your grasp of history is extremely poor. Even Czarist Russia and Germany's Weimar Republic are not comparable.

7).Why would the military try to take over the government? The American military takes an oath to the Constitution.

Your rant makes no sense at all. Your conclusions are spotty and your "evidence" is missing.

Our President is a hero. If he leads our country the way that Mr. Gorbachev led Russia then we have nothing to worry about. He said that he is a "citizen of the world". Do you know what that means? It means that Our President is wise enough to see that maybe the best thing for the world is for America to collapse. Can't you see his wisdom in that?

For what you're saying to come true, we'd have a hard time to get other countries to join a "Union of Soviet Socialist Republics". Too many countries have been there, done that and finally parted ways with the "mother country".

THE MAIN COMMON POINT:

Highest military spendings in the world...

The US will not be able to keep spending at this level on the military since the costs are shared by 300 millions of citizens while China can have the cost shared by 1,300 millions.

The USSR disappeard because its economy was not able to sustain its large military.

I was flying from Europe back to the U.S. a couple of years ago, and I got to sit next to a Russian guy who used to be an official in the Soviet government back in the day. He said that America was starting to remind him of nothing more than the Soviet government.
