Can it, of course it can.

Is it cheap or cost effective, unfortunately not.

Typically need to get new transmission, replace hubs, add driveshafts.

Most likely cheaper to trade in the 2wd and purchase a 4wd truck

yes..but its more money then its worth rember you have to make a transfercase fit diffrent springs for the front axle front driveshaft modfied rear driveshaft steering componets are diffrent unless this is a custome mud truck or somthing dont waste your time just go buy a 4x4
