The best things in life aren't things at all! My Husband and I decided that our anniversary wasn't about singular accomplishments it was a celebration of our togetherness so we went out to a five star resturant and rented a romantic sweet and had our wedding night all over again I seriously think that anniversary presents are overated it like "Here you go I am rewarding you for tolerating me all year" I hate that! Go do something seriously romantic together or discuss something that you need joint and splurge on nice new dishes or a book shelf! Good Luck and Happy anniversary!

Get him a "spicy" book. Not porn!! Just something that you guys can keep in the very bottom of the undie drawer. Make him a nice dinner. (Get a babysitter!!) Enjoy each other's company for the evening! Books can be romantic if the ambience is right! Happy anniversary!

Traditional gift-giving is that the first anniversary theme is "paper". So a book certainly fits. A nice poster or lithograph. Tickets to some event (not just any ol' movie).

Search and you can probably find paper, tearaway costumes -- French maid, policewoman, etc. -- for those frisky-fun evenings. (These things really do exist.)

Why don't you plan a weekend getaway instead? I did that with my hubby on our first. We went for a winery tour and then stayed in a small cottage over night.
