The charisma? The enourmous amounts of World Heavyweight Titles? Being the leader of The Four Horsemen? Or all of the above?
And You can check that Hogan junk at the door, he was a joke. When Vince said He made Hulkamania, Vince was right.
So my question is this, what does make Flair the greatest of all time?

A question close to my heart from my jack buddy Darth...
Where do I begin?
Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, has put as much of their heart and soul into wrestling as Flair has. He practically invented the roll of heel and if you don't want to give him credit for inventing it, you have to give him credit for perfecting it. Back during the day of territories, Flair defended the NWA title all over the world. Which was unheard of back then! Find me another "World" champ from those days who did that. Ric Flair put WRESTLING on the map. Flair is a wrestler not a sports entertainer.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

guy, somebody annoyed The Dragon, yet he's innovations-blowing. flair in no way pronounced he became into retiring from wrestling, only the WWE. After examining The Dragon's answer I ought to ask, too. Why IS honestly every person so disillusioned approximately flair yet giving a loose bypass to Tommy Dreamer and Victoria? They lost retirement fits and only went to TNA, too. Why isn't honestly every person calling THEM disgraces? by means of fact they did no longer get a large deliver-off like flair? properly, they have not earned them like flair did. besides, flair in no way pronounced he became into retiring from wrestling, only the WWE. final time I checked flair in no way has wrestled in the WWE considering the fact that then. So how can he be mendacity? honestly every person is getting too labored up approximately this. that's professional wrestling, wrestlers flow around, sometimes they retire and often they arrive lower back, what's the large deal? It stills recommend something to me. The WWE venerated between the all-time greats with that retirement ceremony on uncooked. How commonly do they do this? just about in no way. the only time they even honor the greats is on the corridor Of acceptance ingredient, so the WWE of course feels flair deserved that ceremony to finally finally end up the storyline.

Ric Flair is the ultimate "company man" because he can juggle his personal life and his career without blinking an eye. Of course, he has been rewarded with all types of world titles due to his dedication to whomever his bosses are in the "wrestling world". He got along with management as well as the WCW, AWA, NWA, Mid Atlantic, Texas, Florida and WWE/WWF writers and creative teams because he can follow a script as best as anyone acting out there.
His acting skills, although diminishing due to his age, are still sharp and he definitely can still work a crowd! As a person, I'm glad to have met him in person and seen his non-wrestling side, which he's shown to be down-to-earth and friendly, and not like his personna of jet setting empresario.

I go back to his NWA championship years and he worked hard each night to deliver a great performance in each arena, while bringing a Lou Thesz-styled class to his title reigns. He legitimately was one of the hardest working talents ever, could work as a heel or baby face depending on the venue and was not adverse with doing a job to help business over the next several months.

I would not class him as the greatest of all time, but he's certain one of the greatest of the past 30 years. It's all of the above. The charisma, the passion for the business, the style, the profile, whooooooooooo!

The fact that he was the total package. The fact that you could give him 10/10 in just about every field imaginable. He's not the best in-ring guy ever, but he is the best pro wrestler ever. I agree about Hogan, btw. It's about time someone spoke the truth.
"No one is better then Bret Hart"
There are many people better in the ring than Bret Hart.

He took his profession VERY seriously. If you watch his old promos from NWA you could actually see his passion. He lived the gimmick. What makes him great to me was his ability to make people cheer and boo in the same promo.
