New laptops from Dell RAM?

If I buy a new laptop from Dell with 1gb of ram (Max 2gb)

will it be 2x512 or 1x1GB

Hard to say...it could be either. I would imagine that now they would put 1x1GB in them so that they can be easily upgraded.

almost always 2X512 unless it is specified as 1X1gb....i would call.
