I never watched her show, but I've always liked Ellen until the dog thing. Unfortunately, her true colors came out, and now I can't stand her. She's just another narcissistic Hollywood person who thinks the rules don't apply to her. Rosie O'Donnell did the same thing to me. I loved her when she had her show, but then she turned into a mean, angry, loud shrew, and I don't like her either. Don't even get me started on Oprah. Where have all the heroes gone?

She didn't prove that she was above the rules. How many people sign things without reading the entire contents? SO MANY PEOPLE! That is why shows like the People's Court and Judge Judy are still around. She gave the dog away to a friend, and was using whatever means she could to get the dog returned.
She is not shallow, but people who use THAT as a reason to think she is are not that bright.
I personally don't watch her show, but when I do, I find it amusing.

Absolutely. I feel exactly the same way. First the dog fiasco and now her "girlfriend" says she would love to adopt a child to share all their good fortune with but Ellen doesn't want a child. No dog, no child. I had given Ellen a second chance but she has blown it in my eyes.

I find her annoying for several reasons. The whole gay thing didn't bother me. What bothers me is how she "flirts" with the male guests & refers to certain men as hot. She does this all the time. She even touches them in flirty ways. I don't understand this. It's as if she's trying to make those who aren't comfortable with her sexuality a little more comfortable. The fact is, she's gay & she sleeps with a woman. I imagine everyone would be in an uproar if she referred to other women as hot so it's sort of like a double standard.
The dog fiasco was a downer for me too. She should never have used her show for personal reasons. I still say she was in the wrong- she signed a contract. Just because she's a celebrity doesn't mean she should be able to get away with breaking a contract. She caused harm to the organization who was doing what it thought was correct.
Those are my honest opinions...

NO!!! Ellen is the best!! And she is an animal lover and got emotional over an animal she gave to a loving home. The dog was irrationally taken from a loving home and put back into a cage!! I would've cried too!

I always liked her show b/c it made me feel good with her dancing and stuff. I thought she went a little overboard with the dog thing, but I still like the overall premise of her show.
