I've noticed that on this site people are quick to answer a question with an insult or judgment.

A lot of girls in the "parenting and pregnancy" section are freaked out they might be pregnant and a lot of the answers are calling them a murderer or berating them for having sex in the first place.

The guidelines specify not to just spout off insults or hateful commentary, so why do so many people spend day after day on this site looking for others they feel are less of human beings then they are?
Why are people looking for someone to condemn?
Why do they think it'll be a good idea to just tear into people...just because they can since it's practically anonymous?

I don't think insulting someone is "an opinion".... T.T

I believe that everyone is entitled to their own opinions and beliefs, and were this a public discussion forum I wouldn't be bringing this up.
This is a question/answer exchange. Not a social debate.

Yahoo! Answers is spreading a little bit of everything honey. A little hate, some racism, and a little harrasment. Once on a blue moon though you get a person who actually knows something and doesn't judge everybody just by what they tell you. The people who answer that way don't know the pregnant mothers, they don't know how she has reacted, they don't even know if this person is real or not! They shouldn't judge someone and call them a murderer if they don't even know who the person is! I agree that some people think they know everything about a person just by a couple sentences. I think that Yahoo! Answers is a great site, some of the people that go on it though, aren't great at all.

People are entitled to their opinions.

There aren't any rules in life about people having to censor their opinions just because someone might not like the answer.

And as far as the P&P section...there's only so many times you can hear the question..."I had unprotected sex 27 times with 3 different guys and I wanna know if I'm pregnatn and who the babydaddy is?" without getting a little jaded and nauseated.

Just because people don't always agree with each other...doesn't mean they are waging a personal attack on someone else.

A lot of people that spend a whole lot of time on here have no friends in real life. They have self-esteem issues and because it's practically anonymous they aren't worried about the repercussions of what they say. They don't really have to take responsibility for their actions so they say what they want and don't care that someone who needs real answers may get hurt. Sad but true.

I guess people feel better when they feel they are defending the moral highground. I would prefer it if they didn't respond at all if they can't give a practical answer. Im sure a pregnant 16 year old doesn't need to be called a w.hore when they are going through alot.

If you think that's bad try hanging out in the Religious and Spirituality sections, violations all day long! I agree with you, I hate when people say that someone asked a stupid question as well.
