Final Fantasy is a turn-based RPG. Legend of Zelda is an action/adventure game. They are nothing alike. If you'd like to try an RPG with a similar battle style to Legend of Zelda, I recommend Dark Cloud 2, It's an action RPG with a targeting system very similar to LoZ. Here is an IGN review of Dark Cloud 2 if you'd like to read it:

I love legend of Zelda and final fantasy ,but if you've never played Zelda your missing out on a classic series. both games are very different. Zelda is an adventure game where you play an elf named link from hyrule and you move around freely killing enemies. doesn't have like spell castings or anything like some final fantasy games and when you run into an enemy you just swing your sword or shoot them with a bow to kill them not like final fantasy where like every 5 sec you have to go through little battle sequence and pick the best strategy to defeat the enemy it is a lot faster.in the game you use weapons like a sword ,bow and arrow, bombs and things like and you also get clothing that may help you in levels with fire or to help you breath under water.you go through various levels like temples and castles to collect maps ,money, keys ,and new weapons.and each level you fight a big boss.Ultimately the boss at the end of each Zelda game is the same it is Ganondorf but he always does or changes into something new.My favorite Zelda game is ocarina of time if you want to try that out though it was made for the nintendo 64 so they only way to play it is if you have a wii you can download it on the wii shop channel or you can buy th Legend of Zelda collecters edition game for the gamecube and it has all the classic zelda games on it . hope this helps at all sorry if it was a bit long.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh, Final fantasy is not really like zelda but, fun all the same. The Final Fantasy franchise is such that all of the games termed Final Fantasy have different story lines and so while the game mechanics are the same the story linies are not.
Also Kingdom Hearts was made in conjunction with Final Fantasy so those games have favorite Final Fantasy characters included.
Totally worth playing.

Final Fantasy is nothing like Zelda. The game play is a bit different than Zelda. You get to control more than one character and the fighting style is totally different than Zelda.

Zelda = Action/Adventure
Final Fantasy = RPG
They're very different games. You'd be better off to research them on the Internet yourself. The Final Fantasy games are all different, and kind of hard to describe.

Final Fantasy is nothing like Zelda. There are alot of Final Fantasies and after 10 they aren't the same. Its more of a strategy game where as you decide who attacks or heals who and how they do it. For instance you can attack an enemy with a weapon, cast magic to hurt an enemy or magic to heal an ally. Everyone levels up from experience points which you get from defeating enemies and you get money from enemies and selling items to buy new weapons or magic spells. But each game is slightly different. In my opinion they are the best RPG's out there. I would definitely play them if you like RPG's.

final fantasy is more of a rpg that you still have a storyline but in the process every few steps you must battle. also in ff your characters level up.
zelda is also a rpg but the story line is about saving someones life or stoppig something terrible from happing.
also zelda doesn't level up

in my view, i hate very final fable, different than very final fable VIII. the story line of very final fable are continually diverse and complicated, which doesnt make experience for it to be a sequence. the main suitable sport I even have ever performed in my existence is memories of Symphonia for Gamecube
