I do a lot of exercise throughout the day and after eating I wait a hour because that is what my instructors tell me and the hospital. =]

Uh I have never heard about having to get surgery from eating than exercising. I honestly have never heard that to be possible. There must have been a pre existing problem that would have caused him to have his organs "messed up". Usually it is suggested that you at least wait a minimum of an hour to exercise after eating.

I have never heard of someone exercising and having to have surgery because they ate too soon before. There must have been another underlying problem.

With that being said, it is best to wait one to two hours before doing strenuous exercise after eating a large meal, to prevent getting a cramp

Best to wait around half an hour to 45 mins. Whenever you feel comfortable and not full any more really.

I'd say it's like swimming, wait 30 minutes

i would say just go w/ the swimming rule...wait half hour
i never head of anyone having to have surgery but i guess it happens just go w/ half hour and don't go crazy when it comes to exercising right away

good luck

usually they say about 30 minutes, but to be safe you can wait an hour and then you should be fine.

I'd say to wait an hour, to let your stomach empty and your body sugar to raise to it's max.

I'm pretty sure there is no amount of time. The swimming rule is a myth.
