Without the burglars, the gun owner would have no excuse to use it.

I purely retired my Walther .32 ACP after wearing it for the final 28 years for well-known hid carry. i offered a Beretta Cougar 8357D in a .357 SIG. It has fairly greater desirable balistics than a .357 magazine around and shoots like a dream. It holds 10 or eleven rounds finding on the magazine. It has the fat physique of the double staked 9mms however the comparable perspective because of the fact the 1911 and is a breeze to shoot with the two handed grip. I even have it loaded with Glazer Silver secure practices Slugs. I even have used those in .357 magazine to place down an injured steer. With a 1900 lb animal it replace right into a one shot kill to the chest hollow area. i replace into shocked while the animal dropped right this moment on the 1st shot, so I had the arms field gown the animal. It regarded like some one hand shot its inner organs with a 12 guage shotgun. They have been shredded by using the # 6 shot. i'm additionally conscious that the around won't penetrate 2 a million/2 inch layers of sheet rock that are greater effective than 3 inches aside. This makes it the suitable homestead protection around. What you have is a firearm with the texture of a .40 S&W, the balistics of a .357 magazine in an semi-vehicle, and the flexibility of a intense potential handgun. i'm an previous college shooter and prefered a wheel gun or a 1911 manstopper. yet this gun beats all of them.

You know it's a very tiny percent yet you still appear to lump all gun owners in the same category. I would fear any person, burgler or otherwise who prays for a chance to use a gun. That is why I own a gun and I pray I never have to use it.

A burglar- you can count on a burglar being a thief not just once but many times
A burglary destroys your sense of safety when they break into your home and steal your belongings- you feel violated .
Nothing but time makes that bad feeling go away.
I hate a thief.
A guy who buys a gun and hopes to shoot someone breaking into his home will more than likely only have to do it once and the rest of thieves will get the idea that maybe they should leave this dude alone.

I just knew that some BDS-suffering clown with a room temperature IQ would have to bring President Bush into this. The burglar is wrong, the homeowner is just prepared. Take it from someone who was on the inside for a long, long time, calling 9-1-1 is government-sponsored dial-a-prayer.

Anybody who buys a gun, praying for an opportunity to use it, is mentally ill. In that case, they shouldn't be allowed to have a gun.
I do like the way you qualified your question, because you're right, most gun owners only want to defend themselves, and they have every right to do so.
But not the nut cases.

The burglar is worse. One, he wants to take what isn't his and two, he may very well fulfill the wish of the homicidal home owner. With no burglar, the home owner has no one to shoot.
For the record: I don't own a gun and won't have one in my house. I prefer the personal touch of a baseball bat and a large toothy dog.

The bugler is worse of coarse. If buglers don't want to be shot and probable killed while practicing their trade then they should make sure the home they are burglarizing belongs to one of those anti-gun progressive liberal socialist/communist instead of an second amendment believing card carrying member of the NRA.

yup those people that badly want to kill with their purchased guns should not have a gun in the first place. only strong people should have access to weapons! a good home owner who wants to protect his family should have a gun, just in case of trouble.
