I need to know some good shooting games that you can play online and some that are as fun as Halo on xbox live.
also if you can't think of any I would also prefer Wrestling games that you can play online but now that they stopped the online play for the ps2 version of Smackdown Vs Raw 2008 and thats what I want.
anyway I need to know how the online gameing works and how to set it up and is it free

Do you have a slim PS2 or the old one?
If you have the old one, you have to purchase a separate network adapter.
If you have the new one, plug in your ethernet connection and run the setup from the disc that came with your PS2. It is free to play games online.
The best online game for PS2 is easily SOCOM.

games that have "with net play" written on the case can be played online!
EDIT:
you need a PS2 network adaptor and an ethernet cable if you have the older bulky PS2
the new slimlines have an adaptor built in, and so in theory you just need an ethernet cable hooked up to the back of your router/modem
