My son is 11 and getting a PSP (Star Wars Edition) for Christmas.
He is not a heavy gamer. (there's homework to get done first)
So I just wanted something that would enhance the games he plays.
I don't need the best out there.
I have seen Memory Stick Pro Duo's from 64 to 4 GIG.
Considering my situation, what would serve the purpose? Thanks!

If he just plays games, then the 64 mb memory stick is good for him. But if he likes photos, videos, and music too, then get the 1 gb memory stick.

I would get a 1gb drive. If he isnt putting movies,photos,music or extra content on it there is no need for anything bigger than a 1gb drive. Its plenty for just game saves and some music and photos

@bill C

They dont make a 12gb.. Whats up with all the misinformation on this site?? The biggest mem stick duo is 8gb and thats for the hardest of hardcore

Game saves are very small in size. they are 64mb tops. The 1gb is 100kb which is 10,000 mb

it will all depend on what he is going to be using his PSP for...

if he wants to store music then a 1 gig card would be sufficent as that can hold an average 350 songs...

if its just games then a 64mb card would be enough

movies?? well that would be the bigger size of the cards - try to get it down in size aswell using PSP Video Express, excellent piece of software

hope that helps

Bob S has no theory what he's speaking approximately. i could elect the 4gb in case you employ iso's as unfavourable to UMD (unlawful yet despite) as that's no longer extremely costly (anticipate a sale once you're low on money) in spite of the undeniable fact that it has sufficient space to save a honest quantity of video games. in case you employ the UMD discs for video games, only follow a 2 gb.
