Not on pill with breakthough bleeding?

I'm not on the pill and I am sexually active. My last period was a week and a half before the breakthrough bleeding. I double counted the days and my period is always at the same time each month. The breakthrough bleeding was quite heavy and only lasted 2 days. Any ideas what could've caused this?

Stress, illness & medication can affect your hormones, thus changing your cycle. If, it con't make an apt. with your doc. for a check-up. :)
