I guess you could get picky about why did you move in with a guy who was divorced twice etc etc, but you moved out, which is the right move. Stay away from this guy and get a new BF...THE END.

Yes you were used. It seems as if you were a friend with special privilages to him and he thought that it would be in his best interest to have easy access to this friend.
Didn't mean any harm. I've seen this situation before.
