Reuters is British based and the largest news agency in the world, and yes, it is similar to AP.
Reuters started in the mid 1880's as a courier pigeon service between London and several European capitals distributing both economic and general news, and was started by Baron Von Reuter, a German born who moved to London.
In early 1980's it started its photographic service and in the late 1990's it took over the former VISNEWS Ltd, a British based TV news syndication service which it previously had a 1/3rd share.

Yest like AP reuters is just another news source that hawks out reporters and freelance guys to do their work..

another words the are like the Globe, National Enquirer all of the check out rags....not any real Journalism involved...Right
