ON an interview,
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
umm...how am I supposed to know.
Do I look like a gypsy with a crystal ball?
I am unemployed do you think I can afford to call Psychic Friends?
I hate those questions. Pointless.

yeah, they sure are and you'd like to turn the tables on them as you sit there thinking, couldn't they pick something more relevent to ask during an interview, instead of wasting my time. Wouldn't you just enjoy watching their response if you said "in 5 years I plan to be relaxing on a beach after I sued you for sexual harrassment!"

Those questions are pointless and a waste of 5 points!

I think it is good to think about the future and where you are headed. If you don't know where you are going, then you are not going any where. We all need direction in our lives. We need to have goals and dreams. We need to be working toward someting. Otherwise, we are just kind of floating around out there. Doing nothing, going no where, and becoming nothing.

I think its supposed to see if you're ambitious or not and what goals you have. Gets to see what kinda person you are. I agree with you though. It is a dumb question.
