I have the flu and I am 39 weeks pregnant. Any suggestions on how I can make myself feel better sooner? I know I can take Tylenol but it really isn't much of a help. I am trying to drink lots of water and rest all day... any other advice?

Wow, I thought I had it bad being 32 weeks and having a cold. There isn't much you can do besides what you listed, drink fluids, get plenty of rest and take Tylenol. If your throat hurts you can gargle salt water and if your cold and achey try a heating pad. Other than that just try to hang in there!

Oh no what bad timing! Rest, rest, rest! If you can take off work, then do so for a few days. It took me almost a week to get over the flu. Drink lots of fluids so you don't get dehydrated.

You can flush your nose out with regular saline nasal spray, squirt it in until it runs down your throat- both sides- and then blow your nose real good. It'll flush the virus out.

Viruses have a 10 day cycle, so aside for just waiting it out theres not much you can do.
