It is bad not to read a lot of books. Keep at it.

No, it is not bad or weird to read even 20 books a week as long as you are still social and active. You are a person with a curious mind and that is a great gift. The more you read the more you learn about life, the world, and the universe. There is a reason that people who are intelligent are referred to as "well read". It is because they are curious and want to know "why". You are reading to answer the "why" questions for yourself.

Reading books is neither good nor bad in and of itself, just like watching TV is neither good nor bad. It all depends on quantity and quality. If you read trash romance novels all day and neglect our social life, then I would say its bad. If you are reading to educate yourself then most people might say that its good. Still, having a good balance in life is the key to your answer, but noone but yourself can determine how much of a good thing is too much, as you will see the results in your life, for example you could get better grades in school and improve your career prospects while losing opportunities to make new friends. Again, what matters most to you is your call.

If it is I'm weird to and I will stay weird thank you.Reading is good for you. There isn't a problem in the world you can't answer with the right book.Every one who knows me says I'm smart and I didn't even finish high school. But I read everything.I read like most people watch tv.Most people don't know about my lack of education and 3 of my friends who are in college regularlly ask me for help with their homework.Reading makes you smart, plain and simple. So I guess if by weird you mean different then yes we are weird but who wants to be normal and dumb?

Some people need to have more intellectual activities than others. There is actually a psychological term for this- need for cognition. People who have this need are not necessarily nerdy, or more smart than other people. They just like to do things that cause them to think.

I took a test on this in my class, and I scored 18 out of 18. I have a very high need for cognition. It causes me to want to read constantly, have intelligent conversations, and make me addicted to Yahoo Answers.

It sounds like you just have a high need for cognition. It is perfectly normal, and healthy. People are different from each other. That's just the way life is.

It could be worse you could be sat at a computer typing answers to other peoples questions, or watching mind numbling boring tv. Reading books broaden your horizons, helps with your writing, vocabulary as well as gives you something to talk about. In short NO there is nothing wrong with reading. There is everything wrong with not being able to.

It is good to read that much. One summer when I was a teenager I read a book a day. Reading good books, and a lot of them, is the best way to increase your vocabulary and learn correct word usage. Thanks to all the reading I did when I was young, I never misuse a word and my vocabulary is vast. (My spelling, however, could be better.) You will not harm yourself at all by reading a lot.

reading is exercise for the brain and is nothing but beneficial for the brain as it improves cognitive development. I can't say I've ever meet an intelligent person that didn't read, the two go hand in hand.

No, it is not weird. Actually, reading is probably going to help you with test scores and school in general, and you'll always have things to talk about.
