I'm doubly frustrated, because on a lot of issues, both sides are "the other side."

But yes, I care, I get frustrated. I support my views with facts. I recently proved someone wrong, and they literally said, "I don't even want to think about that. Let's not talk about it anymore." How frustrating is that?!

I do not feel "misunderstood." When I read post after post from some stupid person (sorry, but there is simply no other word for it) screeching in terror about how the Democrats want to steal the money out from under their mattresses and throw it in the streets for the drug addicts and lazy worthless shiftless jobless people to buy fancy cars and more booze, I just shake my head.

People that actually repeat that crap are swilling down the hype, slurping up the propaganda like the good little prostitutes that they are.

They get paid to swallow that come, you know.

The other day there was a woman on MPR that said, I'm a professional woman and I pay my bills and make all this money etc... Basically saying she's doing everything right, and then she proceeds to say"and I'm sick of paying for someone else's kids free lunch" As long as we don't believe we are a collective society and that we are all responsible, and care that children have a chance in this country we are doomed. I feel sorry for people like her as she is missing a good part of what makes people human.

It just becomes so evident the problems facing a partisan congress. If we can't even talk about these things as friends, family and foe - how do you expect our congress to do anything? Apathy is a great word to describe it though - I just remain patient and encourage sensible debate - rather than name calling. When you can have to people sit down and listen to each other - people can better understand each other and why they hold their views, rather than dismissing them immediately.

I do care and get frustrated. That's when I give myself a break.

If you believe in something so whole heartedly your entie life only to find later on it was based on lies well then a large piece of you dies at that moment.
Thats kind of what Republicans are struggling with right now.

Typically when I see a complete misunderstanding of the democratic platform I assume (I hate assuming) that the person in particular is simply uninformed or closed minded.

Try to make points to them that will perhaps expose them to a way of looking at an issue that they had not thought of before.

I do get frustrated. Like when I see these liberal fools parading the NIE report around like they won something.... they didn't win anything, and the ones that do that only pay attention to the part that says Iran's nuclear program has stopped. Good news to be sure, but the fact is they say their was a program in place, and say there's a good chance it will resume, but that part gets ignored.
