This may appear very personal but i think it will help young girls who are concerned if they have not yet started. It varies so much. I was 11.

3 days after my 13th Birthday.

Our Daughter though had very 'irregular periods' and after visits to the Doctor discovered she had polycystic ovaries.

So, my advice would be if you are worried about anything ALWAYS seek medical advice.

I was 14 and a vivid memory it is! lol

Very good question for all the young women out there.

Props to you, m'dear!

Menstruation may occur at basically any age. I would seek an evaluation from a gynecologist if it occurs before the age of eight years old or if a girl hasn't begun before the age of sixteen or older.
