How are thoughts in your brain composed as matter? Everything is matter, so how do thoughts, memories, insights, and deep thinking fit in with that?

no, it's not.
the electrical activity in the brain that is correlated with thought is a form of energy, but even that is not the same thing as the experience of thought.

there are books written on the subject, and some see it as proof that NOT everything is matter (or energy). there is more to human experience than the physical world. quantum physics comes to the same conclusion.

No, thoughts are not matter. The definition of matter (classical as opposed to Einstein's modern definition) is anything that takes up space. According to this definition, NOT everything is matter.

Examples of other non-matter things:
Energy
Velocity
Blood Pressure

Also, there are more classifications of things besides energy and matter.

It's the energy formed passing from one place to another in your brain. You can see it as different colors on a CT scan. Kind of like heat coming from the body but closer to inner-brain electricity.

Thought is a verb and a noun. It is the action of linking together two (or more) memory engrams and it is the resulting structure.

You're missing something. Everything is EITHER matter or energy. Your thuoghts might be energy, but they aren't matter. If they were, your head would be full of crap.

Oops. I guess your thoughts are matter. Your head is getting fatter.

matter has weight and mass. it occupies space. thoughts don't, so they are not matter. if they were, some of us would not have enough room in our heads.
