I wouldn't really worry about it. He sounds very beautiful.

I just studied Biology and Genetics and that sort of thing can happen. I could go into all of it, but it's quite a long process.

Nothing's wrong with him, it's just the way God made him.

Congradulations on your new baby!

Kids are lighter at birth lots of times. That sounds like about what my sons skin tone was etc at birth and he's 3 now and looks completely black. I'm half white and half black and his father is african american and fairly dark. We just had a little girl as well and she really does look pretty white. Shes very light skinned right now but who knows. Shes only 10 days old so im guessing she will get a bit darker. Both my kids had brown hair at birth that was completely straight and brown eyes as soon as they changed from the bluish grey. It's possible that your child will stay really light but I would guess he will probably get darker as he gets older.

Sometimes African American babies don't have their pigment when they are born, so they appear white. He will probably get darker as he gets older. Plus, he may just not be very dark skinned. If your husband's dad has hazel eyes, he probably has some white in him somewhere down the line.

it's a matter of recessive genes, basically if you both have these recessive traits this type of thing will happen. Your husband having hazel eyes indicates he has recessive genes towards lighter skin tones. So yeah it is more then possible it's a fact. Congratulations on the new baby!

I was in the hospital with a blond haired/blue eyed woman...husband had same coloring, anyway, she gave birth to a black baby. Initially, he thought she had cheated, but her mother never told her that her Grandfather was black. So, the gene pool will simply hand out what is right at the time. Your baby boy sounds beautiful....congrats and God Bless.

Yes its very possible.

I am not AA or anything, but I have a friend who is white, her husband is AA and her sons have blue/gray eyes, lighter hair. One has AA features and the other doesnt.

Its the roll of the genetic dice. I'm sure he is a beautiful baby, I wouldnt worry about it.

And my mother is black and her mother was black and only my grandma's mother was white. So where do I get gray from? Good luck honey Id love to see pics kindra1988@yahoo.com

My cousin is white and his girlfriend is Nigerian and they had a baby back in September. The baby was born white, but in the 3 months since his birth, his complexion has darkened a bit. Most interracial babies are born white, and their skin will darken as they get older.
