Not at all. I lived in an area a long time ago and some apartments accepted section 8 housing... where they pay almost al the rent. Anyways this guy always said its great living here for only 60 dollars a month... while he sat at home and did nothing all day long. And yet we paid $1200 a month for the same place. And he had his water turned off so he went house to house asking for their water or to take bath.... Must be nice having everything in life handed to you

I'm sure there are a few people how do need it, but to sit there on your butt all day and do nothing about it and brag about living off of every bodies tax money... makes me mad. I'm sorry but I would want to better myself if I ever had to use welfare. And I was a teen mother and I never went that low in my life to use other peoples money. I went to school, worked a full time job, and had a beautiful baby boy. If you set your mind to something anything Can happen. Why would you just let yourself sit there and live off other people... what would you be teaching your kids?

The Department Of Social Services is working on that, in a round about way. Years ago, if a client gave birth to a baby .. while on assistance, their living allowance increased significantly. Now, their allowance remains the same. It hasn't reduced births a lot, but, it has made a difference.

I would have to say.. No.. because if a person is on welfare it usually means they do not have the source of income to take care of themselves or their children .. there for knowing this should be a clue that have another child is just as much as a financial hardship as the first one.. Maybe a nice sex talk would help.. Birth Control...

No it's not right and it's not fair if you can't afford to take care of the ones you have now and you need to rely on the state for assistance then you shouldn't be allowed to keep having kids. I"m a single mother who can't afford all the things because i pay so much for daycare, but i don't qualify for substance assistance because all the other mothers out there who chose to be lazy and useless and not work yet still put their kids in daycare so the state helps them instead

Every welfare check or government subsidy check should be given only after passing a urine drug test, a blood alcohol test, and pregnancy test.....come out positive on any of those an it's no check for you.

If you can't afford to take care of yourself and your family then you have no business getting high, drinking, or procreating!

Nope!!!!!!!!! Most people on welfare get free/low cost medical benefits and with that they can get birth control to prevent pregnancy. Those who are on welfare and continue to have babies in my opinion do that to continue their status under the welfare system.

personally I think that poeple should only use Welfare so that they can get on thier feet.. I grew up on welfsre cause my dad left when I was 10.. so my mom needed the extra help... as soon as she got a better paying job she dropped the welfare. it helped alot and I think the people who abuse it are wrong.

No, but I don't know how you can stop it. You can't force sterilization on them. And if you cut off their welfare money after they have a child, what would happen to that child?
