I love Christmas, but I am so tired of what to get _______ you fill in the blank questions in teh Christmas section. In every other section that I go to on YA there is subsections. I really wish there were some subsections in the Christmas section. I guess because it's probably only busy on a seasonal basis is why they don't sort the questions a bit further. I enjoyed the Christmas section in October and Novmeber, but OMG is it getting montonous? Not trying to trash the askers, but as a potential answerer, I am just finding it boring, does anyone else feel this way????

There are just so many subsections that can exist--if there are too many, they may overlap (for example, "Christmas gifts" and "shopping tips" would overlap) and that would make questions and answers harder to find---and considering that this category is only active for a few months a year, it's not worth it. (And it already IS a subsection of the Holiday category.)
I do feel that a lot of the questions have gotten repetitive and dull, but I don't think subsections would solve this. And the people who ask for the most--like, "I need gift ideas for 30 people, and what should I make for Christmas dinner, and what should my boyfriend give me" are the ones who never bother voting for a best answer. I don't agree with Yahoo! censoring questions that don't break the rules, but I wish all the teeny boppers on here would search through previous questions before posting the same thing again and again.

I feel the same way as you, but then Y!A would have to make subsections for:
Dasara,
Diwali
Earth Day
Easter
Halloween
Hanukkah
Independence Day
Kwanzaa
Passover
Ramadan
St. Patrick's Day
Thanksgiving
Valentine's Day
Yom Kippur
They are all yearly celebrations too and I am sure they also get quite busy. It is not just with Christmas. I do have the same opinion, though.

OMG, you were in the Christmas section in October? Honestly, don't you think that's a bit early? I have trouble seeing Christmas stuff in the stores at Thanksgiving, let alone putting myself in a place where I have to think about it months before that!
At any rate, perhaps you should move to another section. I think that's what the Christmas section is going to be full of at this time of year, due to the sheer numbers of people who need to shop and don't have ideas.
And with regard to the previous answers...If it were against the rules to ask inane questions, this site would probably be shut down. I'm not sure what y'all expect Yahoo to do about it, except to perhaps add a "gifts" section, per the asker's suggestion, which is not a bad idea. Year round, I see questions about "what should I get my bf for..." Maybe we need a gift suggestions category that's not specific to any holiday.

Yes, I wish Yahoo would delete those inane question especially when they are reported. To me, if people have to ask what to get their loved ones for Christmas, then they have no clue as to WHO their loved ones are! If a mother doesn't know what her say, 8 year old daughter is interested in or what she is asking for, heaven help this country! Anbd the ditzy broads who ask what to get their boyfriends or husbands (and then state what their guys are interested in), well, they are the limit! I think a lot of people are just plain bored when they ask these questions, or just plain stupid beyond belief!
