I've got it,you want it.Why should I place a limit on the worth of what I have and what you desire?

The notion that Republicans are wealthy is a fantasy in the first place. For those who believe that Repubs are simply rolling in dough, I'd suggest a tour of Mississippi, Arkansas, Alabama, Indiana, and Louisiana.

Cheney is the best example of a "greedy" republican. As a neo-con he has no true conservative values.

I would define a greedy person as someone who has far more than the average person yet is willing to cheat and/or harm others to obtain more. There is nothing wrong with wealth. There is a lot wrong with those who practice deceit to obtain it.

all the Hollywood variety persons are fairly wealthy, yet maximum all are Democrats. so which you're generalizing, yet with that pronounced, it variety of feels a fabulous variety of dems choose human beings to have equivalent quantities of money except that's there money. some wealthy every person is very very beneficiant and others only spend, spend, spend. in fact, that's a common actuality the the main suitable tippers are the middle type and undesirable and the worst are the wealthy. maximum wealthy truly don't recognize what being center type is like except they have been there themselves.

I didn't see your earlier question but, I would say the greed is best exemplified through the current tax codes for the extremely wealthy and the system in place that is designed to make the wealthy more wealthy creating less opportunity for everyone else. Alot of this countrys debt and lack of funding could be solved by not rewarding wealth for wealths sake.

A greedy person is one who wants it all and doesn't want to share any with someone else regardless of the reason. That is interpeted in several ways. For example in opposing help for elderly people or kids as in medical costs. In opposing helping someone who is temporarily down on his luck. It also is someone who is too lazy to earn a living and contribute ever and wants to live only on the dole. They take but don't give. An example of such a person is someone whose family is 3rd generation welfare. Pop out the babies and collect money without even thinking about doing something to earn even part of what they get.

Greedy, In my mind is when a person purposely gains finacially by harming others financially.....have no problem with people do business by making deals where both parties benefit (Example: Home loan)......... Example of greedy...payday lender.

P.S. Agree with the above poster...the lowest income states in the country vote largely republican.... you can add South dakota to that list

Greedy huh?

I am NOT wealthy but I ain't poor either. I pay my way though. Actually, I make the kind of money that gets taxed to death, because I make too much to take deductions and too little to afford to have someone hide it for me.

I work MY tail off to bring home MY earnings to live MY life and I don't particularly like have my future retirement income, taken from me to create programs for those who don't do for themselves.

That means greedy? Puhleeeze.

no - it's not an issue of Republican vs. Democrat or even wealthy vs. non-wealthy

to me, it's an issue of responsible corporate leadership and compensation

vs. looting investors and making employees into indentured servants

that's my definition of greedy

it just so happens that the Republicans tend to support legislation that would promote this type of behavior (and the appropriate tax shelters) all by cloaking it in their "lower taxes" and "class warfare" mantras.

and the Democrats haven't gotten smart enough to figure out that their tired arguments of "rich get richer" don't work - and they stand by silently if it personally benefits them, anyway.

those with the power are taking what they want from those of us without power - regardless of political leaning

again, though, the Republicans provide the political cover to do so.

Lonestar: Actually, the Dems define "wealthy" as anyone who makes more money than the VOTERS they're talking to!

With the average income in America hovering around $50,000 a year, it's getting harder and harder to define "wealthy," especially when you consider those living "in poverty" still tend to have a car, a place to sleep, a color TV, and other amenities that we don't consider "necessities."

Greedy = being wealthy, and still using so many tax loopholes that you pay no taxes, so the government has to institute a minimum tax on earned income.

They would do a specifically bad thing to their own mother for a buck; as long as they didn't have to pay an income tax on it.....get my drift?
