Just look at Sicilian family feuds for the answer to that one!

I think that you can beat someone into submission, but they will always hate you and you better watch your back. This applies to countries as well as individuals.

Although I accept that we will feel that violence is often justified the only time I have seen it to 'work' is when a dodgy bloke has had a beating to stay away from a sister/ friend for having abused her. They usually do!

Of the top of my head I can't think of anything violence can solve. I could try beating someone up and see if that clears my mind block.

Violence never solved anything but immediate goals. The best example is the legacy of warfare on minority groups. They smoulder on for years and exact a terrible price.

back when i was 21 i got into a fight... this girl said i was ugly .. because her bf was chatting me up and she was jealous.

she kept saying it all night so at the end of the night i lamped her one... it worked she didnt say it again.. she didnt say much for the next 3 weeks because her jaw was wired but the point remains she didnt say it again..

do i regret doing it... i do indeed.. im a mummy now and i know what i did was totally wrong.. it solved the problem but i forever feel bad because i was in the wrong... i never ever fight now.
