There are people that I enjoy watching on TV...or enjoy listening to on the radio...but I don't see why such obsessions exist for these people. In most cases you don't even know the people personally.

You're right! The media and tabloids have purposely encouraged our total immersion into the lives of celebrities. It's what pays their salaries.

People like celebrities so much because they are good role models, and alot of teens and adults i guess you can say, look up to them. You dont know their personality unless you meet them. But you can get a good idea of their personality from their reputation.

I know it's dumb they're just regular people! I think that people do that because they think they are some kind of god/godess or something. When in reality they really arent.

because people look up to their favourite celebs that are famous for what they want to do. if that makes sense. lol
