My new born guppy fry ( born today ) are sitting on the bottom of the tank-on the gravel!? are they ill have they got a disease? they dont move and they just sit there...the temp is perfect...any ideas?

they are ok!!!! if they move around the parents or other inhabitants will eat them!!!! aint nature good?

Look very closely at the fry,if you can see any vestiges of an egg sac on their abdomens it's possible they were "dropped" prematurely, if this is true they may still be all OK. Did you net or move the female just before she dropped the fry? If so this could be the cause of the premature fry. A female live-bearer should not be netted or disturbed in any way for two weeks before she is due to have her young.

They are only a day so don't worry, If they still are not moving in a couple of days then I would worry but they will flip upsidown then they are dead. But also remember that you will lose a few more then likely.

Their probaly are sleeping or huguy,sick go to a vet.
