He is one of the best no doubt, but remember you are giving up good prospects for him, also the Red Sox didn't need Santana to win those two WS, I don't think they will be unstoppable, because as we all know the saying, "don't judge a book by its cover." Well it applies here too, who knows how Santana will turn out with the Red Sox, just take Eric Gagne, who would have ever expected for him to suck once he was traded to the Red Sox. Also, take a look at Matt Clemet, the guy who barely pitched for the Red Sox, he ended up missing the entire 07 campaign. It might be the best thing for the Red Sox or it could be the Worst thing for them. Can't tell until he pitches...

Well, according to Boston.com....
"There are no indications as of yet that the Twins are ready to close a deal with the Sox for Johan Santana. The Sox' late-night group session did not produce any substantive developments, and the Sox seem to be in a holding pattern, waiting to see whether Twins GM Bill Smith is prepared to accept one of their offers. There is nothing, of course, that says Smith must make that decision here in Nashville, although presumably the Twins would like to proceed on to other business if they're going to give up Santana."
Doesn't look like they have him to me.

If they do trade for Santana, the sox will lose a back up center in Elsbury (i personally think he fits great in the team) but their rotation will recieve such a boost.

it kinda sounds like the dumb red sox are wondering whether or not to trade. they only probably wanted to stop the Yankees from getting Santana. if thats the case what fags

IF Santana goes to the RedSox a "possible" playoff matchup of RedSox pitching vs Tigers Hitting would be nice....Tigers pitching vs RedSox lineup .....would be a nice series.....

hasn't happened yet...but i think they are getting close..the sox have put these players on the table... Jon Lester, Coco Crisp, Jed Lowrie and Justin Masterson...will the twins bite? only time will tell.

He didn't get traded, and it looks like he won't get traded. All internet sources say the deal is at a stand-still.
