The part should ony be between 20-50 bucks, its cheaper if you do it your self. Otherwise labor will be another 80-100

Do you have any mechanical skills at all? You can do it yourself. The valve cover gaskets on an Audi are basically designed to last for nearly ever. Chances are that they are either loose and should be re-torqued or you have a back-pressure problem due to contamination in your crankcase ventilation system. Clean it out with Gum-out, shampoo your engine compartment at a do-it-yourself car wash and get busy with a set of metric hex keys. Chances are you probably have a lot of sludging inside your engine that is causing seepage. If you are brave or at least curious, remove a valve cover yourself and de-muck it with Easy Off oven cleaner, rinse off the gripping portions of the gasket mating surfaces with brake-clean and reassemble. Remeber that a clean engine is a happy engine, and that this is true of the outside of the engine as well as the inside of the engine. Your may need to de-sludge the engine with an appropriate solvent and begin using Mobil One synthetic oil to prevent further gumming up of the internal engine workings and prevent deterioration of other engine sealing areas. Replacing the gaskets is not the real cure for your problem, most likely. Keeping it clean is the answer!!!!! Also, depending on your mileage, it might be time to install a new timing belt and tensioner. There's nothing in your question that tells me the mileage of your A4 or the condition of things under the hood. As with all things automotive, the cleaner the better. I wish I were there to see you do this!!!!

gaskets 10 bucks...labor could be expensive depending on access to the bolts that hold the covers in place...best way is to call the dealer and ask for the "flat rate" hours to do the job
