I am really not feeling well and although the day is almost over, I am not sure I can make it. I haven't accrued any vacation time and I don't want to use up any of my sick days until close to Christmas. How did you make it through the day?

It is not a cold or flu or anything that can be cured with OTC medication. It is something that has to pass on it's own and I am usually told to stay in bed when this happens.

Indeed, I have been.

In fact, I have a hand injury and I still go to work in construction, I can't afford to wait until my hand heals.

I made it through the day with quite a few pain killers and after a while my hand went numb, but I kept working.

As for sickness, I recommend cold medicine.

People are getting ill because the GI's are bringing home new and different strains of viruses that people have no resistance to today! This is the military's fault and george's for getting this nation into another insane war for nothing!

If it get's real bad, tell your supervisor. I'm sure they'd understand, and probably sent you home free of charge of sick days. Or, just try and keep your mind off it at all costs till the end of the day. Hope you get better!

That is how I felt every day last week. I made it through by taking tons of Nyquil as soon as I got home, Dayquil when I woke up and throughout the day and TONS of ROCKSTAR drinks. Hope you feel better soon!!

Drink a lot of coffee and just do what you've got to do. When you get off work go buy some Airborne tablets. They're awesome. I try to keep them around for just such emergencies.
