How many of you out there have deliberatly given someone a mean answer because you felt that the question itself was too stupid to be taken seriously? I am not talking about being vulgar without reason, just that the question was so trivial that it did not warrant being taken seriously?

Not for being trivial, but I have done that for questions I thought were ignorant or hypocritical.

Yes, I have done that before. One time I was at Target and I was buying like 7 or 8 items. I was already having a bad day due to the fact I was really late for work and I needed to be there on time. I got to the check out and she rang everything up. She was like 45 years old. Then, after I payed her and she gave me the change, she asked me if I wanted a bag!?!?
I responded really rudely because I thought she was out of her mind for some reason. Who would not want a bag when they have 8 items? I thought she was crazy so then I was rude to her. Haha.

I haven't ever given a deliberately mean answer. If I think the person is asking an opinion of something I don't like, I'll try to give positives with the negatives. If it's someone jokingly asking a question, I'll try to joke back. If I come off mean, it's usually an accident.

I started visiting this site in my early teens so I imagine I did that quite a few times as I was a lot more immature and stupid. Even if the question is stupid I try not to be really nasty about it, I just try and word it so I think their point is wrong in my opinion but not so Im harrassing them. I also don't like to sit there like a lot of people and call them swear words or words that are equally demeaning.

I have really never done that because that's very rude...however people have done that to me when i ask questions.
