b) CH3COCH3 - ketone

c) CH3COOCH2CH3 - ester

d) C6H5CN - nitrile

So if you are to select a correct one then it better be a)

A is the only correct one. B is a ketone (not an aldehyde) C is an ester and D is a nitrile.
