Well,
Since the vast majority of women don't know how to use power tools, I don't see why they should feel insulted.
The vast majority of men aren't good cooks either. So why should I be insulted if a woman just assumes I can't cook? She's justified in thinking that because its usually true.
People need to chill out and not get offended and insulted all the time.

hell yes. but it is understandable. my son freaks when eh watches me fix stuff around the house. i have several certificates 1each in: MIG Welding, forklift operator, carpentry framing and finish, industrial and residential wiring, electronics, etc and so forth. i fix stuff all the time, now i'm into fixing pc's and building them. i get bored and want to know "hey hows that work? and so i learn. not to mention, the reality is, if i can fix something , repair rebuild, then that is something i don't have to pay someone to fix. whether that be in cash or less , base payment. and whats more, when i fix something , i know it's done right!
i really find it funny when i can use the power tools better than the men.

Not at all since I haven't a clue how to use any power tool and to tell you the truth, I have no inclination to learn either! When hubby gets a new tool and begins drooling over it, I just glaze over!

not really because they are going on their statistical evidence in their life (most women do not know how to use them). I give them the benefit of the doubt. Their life experience has told them that. It's hard to not pay attention to that.
