What if we dream.
And in that dream you see a strange flower.
And in that dream you pick it up.
And when you wake you had that flower in your hand what then?

Everything that has happened from the big bang up until now could just be a fleeting thought of some super being living in another dimention. But I don't think so.

But that doesn't mean to say it isn't true!

We do exist but our perception of reality is only as good as the models we've developed while observing all the things we're curios about. Which is everything known to us.

I mean, when people believed the world was flat, that was thier reality. Now we have more developed models of our place in the cosmos. But in a thousand years time people will look back at what we believe to be real now and wonder how we could have been so ignorant to have believed it to be real.

That aside, look up at the night sky on a clear night. What you will see is a complete illusion. All the stars that you see aren't in the places they appear to be. The reason for that is because it takes time for the light from the stars to reach your eyes. And as all the stars except the sun are light years away, what you are seeing is the stars where they were in the heavens ages ago. Some of those stars will have exploded long ago but their light is still travelling towards us so we still think they exist. And to make the illusion complete, it's believed that up to 90% of the matter in the universe is dark matter, (black holes) which we cannot see because their gravitys are so strong that light cannot escape. This same strong gravitys bend the light from the visible universe, perhaps again and again as the light from stars travels through space before it reaches our eyes. So everything we see in the night sky isn't really how it appears to be.

Even the sun in the day sky isn't quite where we think it is. It takes 8 mintues for it's light to reach Earth. So the sun we observe is really where it used to be eight minutes ago.

Unless, of course, everything I've just said is just a nano second of thought by a super being from another dimention. But I don't think so.

But that doesn't mean to say it isn't true!

All proof starts with definitions, define reality:
What ever your definition is other people will think differently, reality is relative to the individual.
If you were considering a "hyper reality" then to the entities "there" we may seem unreal; but to us they will seem equally unreal.

If you are trying to say "what if nothing really exists" think about your question for a minute, if there is nothing else at all, how much more real can you get than this? In what way is it an illusion if "everything" sees it as reality?
My point is reality and illusions are made up of perspectives, in general they don't differ, they only differ from perspective to perspective.

Yes we can prove existance. We are here but it is like a dream, we are experienceing it but this life is temporary like a dream. The science of everything is written whithin the ancient Vedic literature, which are the original "how to" books given at the time of creation by God. In a nut shell.-We are not this material body, IE; Race, color, nationality, Religion, mind, intellect, senses, job, etc. We are all eternal spirit souls, part and parcel of the Supreme Soul, also known as Krishna, Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu, etc. (One Supreme God with unlimited names.) We never die, only this mortal body dies.
This material world is not our real home, it is called Maya (illusion) and is temporary and full of misery, only one fourth of the souls come here, and the rest are enjoying blissful eternal loving relationships with our Maker named above. We fell here due to envying Gods position. He made the material world for those who want to try to live separately from Him (Which is impossible because He is actually everywhere). After many lifetimes of trying to be happy in this temporary world one becomes frustrated and board and begins to question their existence. We then seek out real happiness, and when one becomes sincere God reveals how to come back Home. Those who are intelligent, take up the process of self realization (Bhakti Yoga) which begins with the chanting of the Maha Mantra (the great mantra for deliverance from all suffering and illusion), which gives one real peace, happiness and reality. Then at the end of life they can give up all material attachments and fully surrender to God and return to the eternal Kingdom, where there is no more birth, death, old age, or disease and be eternally happy. The Matrix is a metafor.

No it's not an illusion. We are really here. People who keep going on about how we live in some kind of giant computer game are directly out of their minds. If I slap my face I feel pain. If I exercise i feel tied. If it was an illusion we wouldn't get tied or feel pain. People on the "What the bleep do we know" and other films like it are mentalists who call themselves scientists. I cannot believe I actually fell for all that fantasy science.

Wake the bleep up to the real world.

If 'here' were an illusion, there would be no possibility of ever getting out of illusion, for everyone and everything else, capable of getting us out of illusion, will be an illusion too. If, however, this is reality indeed, but taken for an illusion, then we must find a way out of that illusion. If there is no illusion, and 'here' is 'really real', then there is no problem.

- Or is there? Those who are not at all happy with their lot hope that this IS an illusion!

Heres a simple exercise to see if your really here. Cost nothing and very simple to do. Go to your tool box and get a hammer. Now take your hand and lay it on a table, floor, ground, .... whatever you want to use. Take the hammer in the other hand and raise it as high as you can. Now with all your energy hit your hand. It's gonna hurt like hell! You will then realize that you are really here. It's a real hand and it's real pain. Then go to a real hospital.

poke yourself in the eye. go ahead, do it.

it creates a sensation, right? an impulse in the brain, interpreted by learned behavior.

now consider the same event, but without using any methods of describing or otherwise categorizing it. that's reality.

if it were changed, how would the difference be known?

..humm...
Shakespeare said: death is like a dream!
Schopenhauer,an 18th century philosopher from Danzica, said: life is like a dream!!
...I'm a little confused!!....
so if :
life= dream and death = dream what are ower dreams???
..maybe life and death are illusions and dreams are reality!!

...if so, in every way, reality is nothing but an illusion!!!!!!!
