I have been going out with this great girl for like 2 weeks now, and I decided it would be a nice idea to go for a cute little picnic in my Garden, but I dunno what to take. Now I'm only like 16, so no alcohole, and I live in Spain, so anything i take can't go off in the heat becuse i dunno how long it's gonna be outside... and fo those of you who say, JUST KEEP IT IN THE FRIDGE TILL YOUGO OUTSIDE, I want it to be a surprise, so I'll set it up before she arrives and then take her outside, so depending on how long she takes to arrive I dunno how long its out there. Now i got the picnic blanket and the baket, its not on a table, I know the basics like sandwhiches and stuff but i need some more stuff to fill the basket if you catch my drift... Anyway, and sugestions would help...
Thanks!
Zac

Strawberries are always good at picnics and simple things like tortilla crisps with dips or chopped veg/salad (like peppers, celery....)with dips. The more different coloured foods you use the prettier it will look. Get napkins, plates and glasses that match your picnic blanket, like when I made a dinner once I used a navy tablecloth and lilac napkins. Just think of colours that work really well together. You could also go for a theme with your food like all traditional French food or whatever it is you and you girlfriend like. Even though you can't drink alcholol there are some nice non alcholic sparkly drinks which will look good in wine glasses or champagne flutes. Hope you have a great time good luck x

Awww Zac, that is so sweet!
Try fairy cakes, maybe with little hearts on the top.
Its hard because it could be warm so things like chocolate will obvious melt.
Don't have any salad because things like tomatoes taste disgusting when they aren't fresh out of the fridge.
Crisps, biscuits, sausage/cheese rolls, sweets like haribos, strawberry shoe laces etc.
Have fun!

Chocolate covered strawberries, sparkling cider or grape juice,
good cheese, a baguette, fig jam or candied walnuts, tortilla chips & pico de gallo, olive tapenade, maybe some kind of salami or pancetta. Those things don't really need to be cold.

try traditional sandwiches that can go in an ice chest with a fruit salad and maybe cookies or something. the point is find something that she loves and then make it. she'll love the idea no matter what you make. another thing you can do is go to the food network website and type in picnic food.

I would do tapas - especially things you eat with your fingers - crusty bread and cheese and olives, and chocolate dipped fruit for dessert.. if there is bad weather set it up on the living room floor and it is just as romantic..

It won't really matter what yous eat because the idea is so romantic anyway.
Whatever you decide she'll love it. Go with what you think she likes to eat, maybe her favourite sweets. She'll love it.

awww, that is so sweet, yeah i would say her favorite sweets, cookies or chocolates maybe or chocolate covered strawberries. how about, nice plates, glasses for whatever you are going to eat or drink, that will make it that much nicer and don't forget napkins, cloth would make it more special.
