I know life is about having ups and downs but what do you do to be positive and happy?

Walk, outdoors...as far as I can. This is not only good for my physical self, but also helps my mental well-being. Any physical activity is better than no physical activity...I know not to just sit around...because then I will only become more depressed.

Cheerful music, a comedy TV show or movie, phoning a good friend or relative who can make me laugh...these help me out.

Writing (or drawing/painting, etc.) also helps with the blues. You take it all out on that piece of paper...let your depression or anger out, and you do feel better when you're through.

There are a lot of self-help books and tapes/CDs in the library. Meditation, Yoga, even how to overcome depression type books. They do help. If you are of a religion, prayer will always help you as well.

I hope that you do feel better soon...this is a hard time of year for many, many people. The holidays, the lack of daylight hours, etc., get so many people down. Try your best to get as much exercise as possible, and to take out all you can on that paper! Be well :)

some loud music and a long mirror will do the trick. put on some loud music that u can just scream all the lyrics to, and stand i front of a mirror and remind yourself that u are hot, sexy, and any guy in the world would want u and if they don't, then they are so stupid and they don't know what they are missing out on. try on all of the sexyest clothes u have and pose, even change your make up 5 million times untill u find the perfict look 4 each outfit. and find the one u like best, get some of your girlfriends together and go out and count the guys who keep looking at u, or if you are married, then dress up for your husband when he comes home, or if it is his day off, then send him some were( ex. to his bro's house to look for some sunglasses u left there *wink, *wink) and when he getts home just fool around with him. if that dosen't keep your mind off of things then i don't know what will, but if you are single then i do not recomend a one night stand.

I have done different things before (take a drive, go book shopping, take a long walk, etc.) and they all have one thing in common-I am by myself. Being alone when I feel down is great because:
1. Being by myself allows me time to just let it out (cry, curse, kick things...)without thinking anyone is going to judge me.
2. I know I'll do something that I want to do instead of doing something for someone else want
3. I use the silence to think things out. Figure out why I'm down and what I can do to fix it

when i'm happy and something is really putting me in a good mood i write down what it is. so now i have a big list of thing that make me happy that i can go to for when i'm down.

picking something from the list usually helps. surrounding yourself with positive people is another thing that helps.

What I do: I search, meditate on and speak aloud some scriptural references from the Bible that are related to whatever I'm facing. Because God's Word is quick and powerful.

Loneliness: "I will never leave you nor forsake you."
Worry: "Cast all your cares on Him, for He cares for you."
Trouble on the job: "If the boss gets angry, don't quit! Soft words pacify anger."
Financial woes: "My God shall supply all your need..."

Because the Lord loves to receive praise from those who love Him, He brings blessings of peace, joy, strength, etc., in return. So I give Him praise to make myself happy.

What I've just stated is NOT about religion but RELATIONSHIP.

Well, singing an upbeat song can help. Or watching a comedy. Although sometimes I just( stupidly) suffer through it.

Starbucks, chocolate and bubble bath or a nice drive with one of my favorite CDs all usually help.
