My main problem with them is that they want to take money from those who work and earn it, to increase the lifestyles of those who don't work and earn it.
This ecompasses a LOT of their policies.

Some of these answers! Too funny - no particulars huh?
I am not really a party line kind of person. My vote is usually for whom I think will do the best job. I am conservative on most things and maybe a bit liberal on others.
My main issue with liberalism is the size and scope of government it requires. I think the government should not be in my bedroom, get out of my pockets, interpret laws on the bench not make them, and guard the borders. They don't do so well with social programs, but liberals keep asking for them.

I am moderate and lean left. This is my issues with the Conservatives:
1. They have an idealistic rose-colored concept that if government aid disappeared, the poor would simply pull themselves up by their bootstraps and take care of themselves. That's a wonderful dream, but they fail to take into account the extremely unlevel playing field that minorities and poor people have to work from. Any attempts to level said playing field get labeled as socialistic in nature.
2. I have an issue with the so-called Christian Right imposing their beliefs and interputation of morals on me and my family. I have no problem with religion, but it's a choice not the bedrock to build a government upon. Meanwhile, their leaders are caught up in scandals involving the very vices they rail against.
3. I have a problem with Conservatives who support keeping Big Business on Corporate Welfare by way of tax abatements, subsidies and other 'favors'. These people have no problem supplying Halliburton, Big Oil, and Big Pharma with billions in handouts...yet oppose any kind of welfare designed to help citizens. Meanwhile we get to foot the bill and watch Halliburton waste millions, pay $3.00 a gallon for gas, and drive to Canada to be able to afford medicine. I don't see what we taxpayers are getting out of the deal.

Main problem with Conservatives:
1) The rate of change in our society accelerates and accelerates. Read history. You'll see. And yet Conservatives seem to think there's nothing dangerous about maintaining the status quo indefinitely. Conservatives hold us back from adapting to the extremely rapid changes occurring in technology, communication, economics, etc.
2) Like liberals, they get caught up in hot-button issues and are often too uneducated to identify the real ones.

To be perfectly honest.. I do not have any huge differences with conservatives.. my main problem is the corrupt government of George Bush. Once that is out of the way, I can then look again at both parties , all Representatives and make my choice. i am not one of those Americans who have been born into a party and fear to ever make a move!

No, this is maximum actual no longer stupid. i'm interior a similar boat as you. I easily have "liberal" and "conservative" perspectives. human beings like us tend to apply consumer-friendly experience and good judgment in preference to picking a area based off what Fox information or CNN dictates to us.

I am liberal. My problem with conservatism is not with the philosophy. Look at there history. It is with the inablity to conform thier own philosophy. Fiscal responsibility, Not happenin.Smaller Gov, sorry largest ever. Not only is it large but it does not even have the social programs that benifit the common American. So who is it serving. Moral integrity, they are all over that one. They are not conservative by thier own definition.

My issue with most conservatives is their world view that it is every man or family for himself instead of we are all in this together. Also most conservatives fallow father figures that know best instead of representatives of the peoples will especial in times of fear. This is why you do not see allot of female candidates because a women does not fit that strong protectionist father figure that knows best image which they rely on in times of fear. Also one of the cores of conservatism is to attack anyone who is presenting evidence of guilt that might weaken that strong father figure image. Also most of the hardcore conservatives seem to have gone through a traumatic event like a mean dad or big loss in their lives which causes them to hit and attack when they have a loss of evidence to win with the issues.

I don't like the way that Republicans think that they own God.
I don't like the way they treat people of different races.
I don't like their wasteful spending.
I don't like the way they support Bush, even when they know he is wrong.
I don't like the way they support the war, even though they know we went there under false premises.

I apologize for intruding - i do not identify myself one way or the other.
Liberals - to many are accepting of everything that comes their way and refuse to include any religion or godliness in their life.
Conservatives - are moral hypocrites and refuse to accept that organized government can do any good.
