ask them what you could do to prove that you are responsible. ask them how you could prove yourself. then listen and do it.
honestly, 13 yr-olds don't have good judgement, so also explain to them the pitfalls of what you want to do and how you will manage the problems. show your maturity to them. prove yourself to them.

Talk to them reasonably. Ask them to set aside of time where you can all descuss some things that have been on your mind. Ask if they can lighten up on ----. Give 1 or 2 things you'd like to start w/. (ie: a slightly later curfew, more makeup, etc.)Nothing crazy. Let them learn to trust you a little more at a time. And, then make sure you handle that knew "freedom" responsibly. You can only EARN trust. So, give them reason to trust you w/ the little stuff.

I have the same problem except i'm 15. My dad doesn't like me going out or talking to boys but then my moms pretty cool about me doing things with my friends and going out... But since my parents are divorced its different. Give it a little more time and keep bring up the subject but not to much and don't yell and scream talk rationly.

Three Solutions:

1.) Have the "parent talk" Ask them about your freedom and such

2.) Begger Mode (Beg them a lot to at least hang out with your friends)

3.) Live with it!
