ok so i had unprotected sex on october 6 and 7. well a couple weeks afterwards i took a pregancy test that came back positive...but i swore i looked at it and it said negative but stuck it back in my back pocket and looked at it later and it said positive. Since then i have taken about four more test and a test at the hopital that have came back negative.. the most recent one was about a week ago.
But also i often feel sick at my stomach, urinate a lot, and just dont feel too well. i had my period in september but felt slightly shorter. This month i started my period on sunday and i have only bled a little bit. Is there a chance that i could be pregnant even after all of these negative tests?

Have you been vomiting?

You are surely pregnant when you are vomiting.
It takes about two weeks to four weeks for the... sperm and egg to merge and grow, forming a zygote.

When it's growing, your hormones will go somewhat haywire,
and you will have morning sickness and sometimes even in the afternoon or the evening.

If you haven't been vomiting, check it off.

It's very unlikely that you're pregnant.

Now you mentioned you had your period, a month after your sexual intercourse?

The reason your period is shorter, or less blood than usual,
might be because
a) you're so worried that you're getting pregnant that you're not taking good care of your body
b) the sexual intercourse created a hormonal imbalance in your body.

You don't have to worry, your body will get to normal soon.

If you are pregnant,
your stomach would have swelled a little bit by now.

The fact that you're getting your period, no matter how short or little it is,
shows that you're not pregnant,
or if you are, the zygote is, unfortunately, dead,
or bleeding.

It is most likely that you are not pregnant at this stage,
but I suggest you check with a gynaecologist,
to make sure that your uterus is healthy.

It's highly unlikely that you're pregnant.

Many tests can detect hCG in the urine quite early in a pregnancy. But because some tests aren't very sensitive, the next step would be to do what you did...go to the hospital and get the test taken there.

Since 2 months have passed since you had unprotected sex, and since the hospital test came back negative, then I don't think you're pregnant.

Your other symptoms could be just nerves (worrying about being pregnant), or a sign of a gynecological problem.

Probably not...
You're not supposed to consider a test after like 10 minutes... so looking at it later after it said negative could give you that false positive. Try doing one more test to make you feel better about it and then stop stressing. I'm sure you'll feel better all around when you don't worry about being pregnant. Alot of women work themselves up to feeling this way.
Its also flu and cold season...your symptoms may be related to that as well... hope you feel better!

You could have a urinary tract infection that might account for some of the other symptoms. Bear in mind too, the pregancy test, once it went into your backpack, may have come in contact with other substances that might alter the results.

You're probably not pregnant, but you definately have something going on and need to see a doctor about it. Be sure you tell your doctor about all of this.

If the test was negative up to the 10 minute time limit but then later when you looked at it you saw a line then that line is what they call an evaporation line.

Seeing as how you have had multiple neg. tests and you have had two periods since then...then more than likely you are not pregnant.

You are not pregnant. The reason your test became positive later is because most hpt's appear to turn positive after 10-20 minutes. That's why you have to read it within the required time to get accurate results. Your guilt of being irresponsible could be making you sick.

Yes, it's possible. A pregnancy test that is negative is more likely to be wrong than one that is positive.. the ones that come out positive are almost never wrong.

What you need to do is go to get a blood test, they are never wrong. You could go to a doctor, or go to a Planned Parenthood clinic.. they're cheap there.

Good Luck!

Since you have already taken one at the hospital, you most likely are not pregnant. But if you aren't certain, visit your primary care physician and ask for a blood test. Good luck!

I believe that it is possible, but unlikely. If you start breaking out on your shoulders, you breasts feel painfull/swollen to the touch, your skin has an orangy/healthy glow, and fingernails grow hard and fast, then you need to worry. It was probably a false possitive. If you have been really active for a while, then your period can be lighter. Hope some of this helps!

there's always a slight possiblity when you have unprotected sex... you have the symptoms, but when you are worried about it-you can "bring on the symptoms of pregnancy" without being pregnant- kinda like getting it all in your head! I would just go to my OBGYN and get a pregnancy test that way you know for sure! Good luck!
