I actually invited two Witnesses into my home once. We chatted for almost an hour. It was a great conversation expressing each-others views ;)

When the Jehovah's Witlesses turn up on your doorstep, do you exercise your right to close the door, or respect their right to blather to you about the Watchtower magazine? Hmm? Yeah, thought so...
The same principle applies when deciding whether or not to block someone on here.

The latter. Freedom of speech is a myth. The UK has laws against treason and blasphemy. We also have legal redress through both libel and slander laws, and on top of these there is a whole range of legislation that prohibits discrimination against whole groups of people in society.

People who claim a so called right to free speech don't seem to understand this right is heavily qualified in a civilised society.

The only exception to this is of course Robert C whose views are well known to be both temperate and sensible.

Of course you don't abuse there rights of free speech. Your not inhibiting them from doing so, your simply not listening to what they have to say. Which is fully within your rights.

Imagine if you had to listen to every damn person who had an opinion to voice!
