Actually, I think that there are two most dangerous enemies. One within the country and one outside the country.

1. Our own complacency. It seems that most people seem to think that we can just keep going on the way things are and not have to worry about what is happening to our country, and everything will stay peachy-keen. Our government is taking over our lives, our elected officials only care about retaining their power, Hollywood is corrupting the souls and minds of our young people, and the liberal left is pushing this country down the road to socialism.

2. Our biggest threat outside the country is not terrorism, although that must remain a major concern, but CHINA. They are building their military in order to challenge the U.S. for world supremacy, they practically OWN our national debt, they are challenging our economical might and in the near future will be a challenge to our very existence as a sovereign nation.

Our most dangerous enemy is the ones who have turned this country into a Jerry Springer society...the very ones who have trivialized everything to a half hour embarrassment...where we display the demented and portray them as the norm..and everyone sits around the TV and somehow identify with them. Our attention span has been reduced to an hour, and only then if we are entertained by what we are watching....now we believe a media that has reduced this presidents actions and words to something to ALSO mock and hate with their use of simpleton slogans because they are reaching out to the ones in number who have such a short attention span...slogans such as "its all for oil...Bush lied...the war is lost"....these people who fall for this, with the Jerry Springer mentality, and loud and vocal, and take what they hear in their little simpleton sayings and repeat them ...loudly...and get in your face, like someone on the Jerry Springer show. Many Americans have NEVER even read a book, let alone do research into any topic...it is so much easier to let the media tell them what they think and what they know...its sad and disgusting.....and this country had better WAKE UP!!...

Our most dangerous enemy is apathy amongst ourselves combined with too much teaching of the wrong kind of tolerance. Some things are really not to be tolerated in a civilized society, but the USA has swung towards teaching our students that they have to tolerate behaviors that are not for the common good. Our society is changing rapidly, and a good, genuine curiousity about people who are different from ourselves is a healthy response, but tolerating abuse of the basic fundamental beliefs upon which our society was built is detrimental to all of us. We need to get straight that what is illegal is illegal and what is legal is legal, and there is no dicing around the facts of it. We also need to understand that the war on terrorism is a psychological war, a societal war, and if we are not certain of what we want to support in our society, then we are at a great risk for the dissolution of civilization as we know it.

Face fee human beings have a habit of taking issues at face fee without doing any study into the matters they are giving their evaluations on. They talk of Hitler yet comprehend no longer some thing of Fascism. They talk of Mao yet comprehend no longer some thing of Communism. They talk of Marx yet comprehend no longer some thing of Socialism. They talk of Conservatism yet comprehend no longer some thing of Capitalism. Even then there are some who comprehend and willingly opt to be ignorant. This united states of america's, and particular this entire international's, best enemy is the completed and utter contempt it has for freethinking persons. They stay, thrive and feed on worry.

Ourselves.

Ignorance
Complacency
Mindlessness
Blind obediance

As much as you may dislike Bill Clinton, he did make a most telling quote, which is what we can all strive towards: "There is nothing wrong in America that can't be fixed with what is right in America"

Prefer something a bit more conservative? Gerald Ford: "A government big enough to give you everything you want is a government big enough to take from you everything you have."
