Human Traces by Sebastian Faulks
I say that even though I am only half way through.
I admire the writing and the author's grasp of the scientific subject. The topic interests me as I was professionally involved with neurosciences for many years as an academic and as later as a senior hospital pharmacist.

I have read alot of good books this year, but two new authors that I have never read before are:
Down River by John Hart
Too Late to Say Goodbye by Linwood Barclay......they were both good page turners.

Hmm.. Well I will say 'The Hot Zone' by Ropert Preston. It may be "oldish" but it was the best book I have read in a lONG time.

I've got two contenders.
England's Mistress, by Kate Williams - a brilliant and sympathetic biography of Emma Hamilton
Caesar, by Adrian Goldsworthy - a wonderful biography of Julius Caesar. I've loved reading it, and don't want it to end, but it's almost 44 BC....!
